MLK Ski Trip Remaining Payment - Jan. 16th-19th, 2026

This is the remaining payment balance of the MLK Ski Trip on January 16th-19th. We will be travling up to Winterplace Ski Resort in Ghent, WV. All food, travel, and lodging are included in this reservation. 

Ski vs Snowboard Rentals: You can only choose to ski or snowboard on the trip. Both is not an option. Ski rentals are included in the trip cost, where snowboard rentals are an additional $12. If you want to rent a snowboard, you must select the snowboard option and pay the additional cost. When you select snowboard, you are choosing to snowboard for the whole weekend. 

Bibs - If you do not select bibs as an add on at checkout, they will not be avaible for you when we arrive at the lodge.

Helmets - If you do not select helmet as an add on at checkout, it will not be available for you at the lodge (Strongly recommended) 

Ski Goggles - Ski Goggles are not availabe for rent, they must be owned, purchased, or borrowed before departure. They are available for purchase at the ski lodge. (They are strongly recommended).

Ski/Snowboard Lessons - Lessons are available for those who choose to add that on for an addional $25. If you do not want a lesson now and later decide you want it, you will need to buy this on your own when we get to the lodge.

Additional Activities - Snow Tubing is an additional activity that is available at Winterplace, but is not a part of the add ons here. Tickets can be purchased at the ski lodge if you choose to participate in the optional activity. 

Cancellation Policies: If a participant cancels within two weeks of this deposit-required trip date, then they will be eligible to receive a refund minus the deposit cost. If they cancel before the deposit payment date, then they will be eligible for a full refund. Please contact southernadventures@georgiasouthern.edu if you need to cancel a trip.

Waitlist Policies: In the event of a trip spot becoming available, the first individual on the wait-list will be notified. Upon notification, the individual has 24 hours to register for the trip, or they will forfeit their opportunity to the next individual on the list. Contact southernadventures@georgiasouthern.edu to be placed on a wait-list.

Pre-Trip Meetings: Pre-trip meetings will on Monday or Tuesday evening the week your trip leaves. Your trip leader will email you the date of the pre-trip meeting once registration closes. All forms (medical forms, activity consent forms, and applicable outfitter consent forms) will be due at this time. This time is utilized to fit participants for gear, provide any necessary clinics, address questions, and introduce participants to the trip leaders and other participants. These meetings are mandatory and the individual is responsible for scheduling a make up meeting with the trip leaders prior to leaving on the trip.

Participants need to bring their Eagle ID card to the pre-trip meeting to confirm identity.
