Paint & Paddle Day Trip - April 12th, 2025

Enjoy a day of paddling and watercolor painting with Southern Adventures at George L. Smith State Park. No experience or equipment required! The trip fee includes all equipment, art supplies, lunch, paddling instructions, and a guided painting experience from a Georgia Southern Art Department professor.

This trip is a day trip that occurs on Saturday, April 12th.

Trips are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Active health insurance is necessary for trip participation.

Visit the Southern Adventures' website to download the necessary forms (medical form and informed consent form).

Cancellation Policies: Full refunds will be provided for this trip if the participant cancels within two weeks of the trip date. Trip cancellations, that occur less than two weeks from the trip date, and no shows will not be eligible for refunds. Please contact southernadventures@georgiasouthern.edu) if you need to cancel a trip.

Waitlist Policies: In the event of a trip spot becoming available, the first individual on the wait-list will be notified. Upon notification, the individual has 24 hours to register for the trip, or they will forfeit their opportunity to the next individual on the list. Contact southernadventures@georgiasouthern.edu to be placed on a wait-list.

Faculty & Staff Policy: Southern Adventures Trips are a student-first activity at CRI. If any faculty/staff members are interested in joining an adventure trip, please email southernadventures@georgiasouthern.edu to be placed on the faculty/staff wait list for the specific trip(s) they are interested in attending. One week prior to the trip departure date, if spots remain available, we will contact individuals on the faculty/staff waitlist in order of request. Once confirmed, Southern Adventures will send a registration link that will add a premium to the cost of registration. 

Pre-Trip Meetings: Pre-trip meetings will on Monday or Tuesday evening the week your trip leaves. Your trip leader will email you the date of the pre-trip meeting once registration closes. All forms (medical forms, activity consent forms, and applicable outfitter consent forms) will be due at this time. This time is utilized to fit participants for gear, provide any necessary clinics, address questions, and introduce participants to the trip leaders and other participants. These meetings are mandatory and the individual is responsible for scheduling a make up meeting with the trip leaders prior to leaving on the trip.

Participants need to show their Eagle ID card during the pre-trip meeting to confirm identity.
