Armstrong Kayaking Day - 3/28/2025

Join Southern Adventures for a great time kayaking through the scenic channels of water near campus at Butterbean Beach. Please see below for information on the program:

This program will take place at Butterbean Beach and you can choose between timeslots at 12pm, and 2pm.

This experience is free of charge, however, a $10 fee will be charged if you do not show up to your timeslot and you do not give adequate (48 hours) notice of cancelation.

1. Meet at Butterbean Beach, look for the White GSU van, kayaks, and staff in green shirts!

2. Bring water, wear active clothing that can get wet (our kayaks have ports that let the water get through), and we highly suggest bringing sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen!.

3. Select a 12pm or 2pm time slot.

4. Please fill out the Activity Waiver at this link: Activity Waiver Form.

5. Please click the link to fill out the Kayaking informed consent form.

Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellation Policies: Please contact southernadventures@georgiasouthern.edu if you need to cancel your spot. Understand that this expereinces is at no cost, so by not showing up for your registered time you are taking another person's place.

Faculty & Staff Policy: Southern Adventures Trips are a student-first activity at CRI. If any faculty/staff members are interested in joining an adventure trip, please email southernadventures@georgiasouthern.edu to be placed on the faculty/staff wait list for the specific trip(s) they are interested in attending. One week prior to the trip departure date, if spots remain available, we will contact individuals on the faculty/staff waitlist in order of request. Once confirmed, Southern Adventures will send a registration link that will add a premium to the cost of registration. 

Wait-list Policies: In the event of a spot becoming available, the first individual on the wait-list will be notified. Upon notification, the individual has 24 hours to register for the time, or they will forfeit their opportunity to the next individual on the list.
